Below the Views on Budget 2025 by Vikas Rathod, Managing Director and CEO, Ensemble Infra
"The Union Budget FY2025-26's Urban Challenge Fund and Asset Monetisation Plan highlights a strong intent to drive urban renewal and infrastructure growth. This presents a clear opportunity for the design and build industry - a broader scope for corporate real estate expansion. However, we hope to see reforms in execution speed and regulatory clarity. The commitment to ease-of-doing-business reforms is also encouraging, and we hope approvals and land-use clearances are accelerated at the state and municipal levels. Additionally, rationalising customs duties for construction materials is a practical move with potential real cost efficiencies on the ground. The budget sets the right direction and we look forward to seeing policies translate into on-ground acceleration of commercial development."
